Procedures and H/W for 9/10/08

Procedure for HS 10 (9/10/08)

 

Objectives: 1) Practice listening comprehension.  2) Prepare skit for presentation tomorrow.

 

Procedure:

1.     Housekeeping: 1) Turn in your writing assignment homework. 2) Report your absence to keep my record straight (Kevin, Kim, Jim, etc)

2.     Listen to the CD (lesson 9) and work on your workbook.

3.     Introduce online resources for tone drill/pronunciation.

4.     Pair practice for your skit tomorrow.  Draw your number as your order in our presentation. 

5.     Artists, start your thank-you card project. 

 

H/W: 1) Finalize your skit hard copy.  2) Start reviewing lesson 9 for quiz on Friday.

 

 Procedure for HS 20/90 (9/10/08)

 

Objectives: Build a solid foundation and knowledge of blending & discriminating sounds.

 

Procedure:

1.     Housekeeping: 1) Take a copy of handout. 2)  Report your absence/tardy to keep my record straight (Stephen, Leshe, Zachary, Jae, etc).  3) H/W and grades are posted on websites. 

2.     Practice on dry erase board.

3.     Introduce online resources for tone drill/pronunciation.

4.     Review classroom expressions/learn new terms.

5.     Go over today’s handout (half done).

 

H/W: 1) Finish reading the packet you got from Monday.  2) Practice blending/discriminating sounds for quiz Friday. 

Procedure for MS 30/50 (9/10/08)

 

1.     Housekeeping: 1) Collect late teaching slip, if any.  2) Report your absence to keep my record straight. 

2.     Teach another three syllables (ren, ge, jia).

3.     Writing your presentation sentences (I am…, There are … people in my family, I have….).

4.     Pair practice and quiz each other. 

5.     Show case origami and kirigami.  Do one mini project.

H/W: prepare for our quiz on this Friay.
