Procedures and Homework for 9/15/2008

Procedure for HS 10 (9/15/08)

 

Objective: Learn to describe people in terms of physical characteristics and grade levels.

 

1.     1) Take one handout (body parts/supplementary vocabulary and terms).  2) Quiz on Lesson 10 this coming Friday (?).  3) Artists get ready for the second thank-you card.  Coordination group can plan to bring food in.

2.     Monday sharing.

3.     Skit (Don/Ms. Chang, Kim/Kevin).  James’ makeup test?

4.     Introduce new vocabulary & terms in the handout.

5.     Pair practice (all body parts).

6.     Feedback time (Need to show stroke order?  Pace?  Quiz format?)

 

H/W: 1) Make index cards with handout and memorize terms (10 body parts).  2) Preview Lesson 10. 

Procedure for HS 20/90 (9/15/08)

 

Objective: Master numbers 0-10 and learn to count from 0 to 100. 

 

1.     1) Quiz (90 only).  2) Quizzes this coming Wednesday and Friday (numbers, classroom terms, consonants/vowels).  3) Artists get ready for the second thank-you card.  Coordination group can plan to bring food in.

2.     Take two handouts (number table and numbers 0-10)

3.     Monday sharing.

4.     Review numbers 0-10. 

5.     Go over handout and count from 0 to 100.

6.     pair practice (say numbers 0-10 first, and then say each other’s phone numbers and address with street number and zip code).

7.     Teach new consonants (j, q, x).  Go over handout from last week.

8.     Pair practice pronunciation.  Ms Chang checks pronunciation.

 

H/W: 1) Make index cards (0-10, family members) with handout and memorize them.  2) Practice blending consonants/vowels tonight. 

Procedure for MS 30/50 (9/15/08)

 

  1. 1) Return quiz papers.  2) Mitchell, Meredith, & Ryan S. take the makeup test.  3) Quiz this coming Friday (colors).  4) Pass out black, red, and brown strips.  
  2. Check index cards.  Review colors.  Pair practice. 
  3. Teach new terms/Pair practice (favorite color, years-old).
  4. Continue writing your oral presentation (I am…, There are … people in my family, They are …., I like…color the best, I am …years-old).
  5. Read sentences to your partners. 

Origami/Kirigami pieces.
