Procedure for HS 10 (9/18/08)

Objective: Learn to describe people in terms of physical characteristics and grade levels.

1. Dictation on dry erase board. Demonstrate and practice handwriting characters.

2. Continue on Lesson 10 (pages 86-88).

3. Q/A session.

H/W: Review Lesson 10 for early next week’s quiz.

Procedure for HS 20 /90 (9/18/08)

Objectives: Students have general idea about what the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival is.

1. Review all consonants/vowels/terms (the first/second/third/fourth tone, stand up, sit down, bow, j, q, x, ao, ai, ei, ou) from yesterday.

2. Quiz on dry erase board. Try random numbers generator game to practice saying numbers in Chinese.

  1. Introduce mid-autumn festival. Show and tell: projects from last year (moon cake, tea, and grape). Tell the legend story.
