Procedures of 9/5/08

Procedure for HS 1o (9/5/08)

 

Objective: 1) Students take first quiz and informal assessment.  2)   Teacher introduces resources available in the classroom. 

 

1.    Change seats.

2.    Quiz (2 formats).

3.    Informal assessment: correct/write some Chinese characters, 2) various sport names.

4.    Introduce resources available in the classroom (magazines, CD, tapes, computer package & light pen).

5.    Practice skit w/partner for next Tuesday.

 

 

H/W: 1) Prepare skit.  2) Review Lesson 9 thoroughly. 

 

 

 

 Procedure for HS 2o/9o (9/5/08)

 

Objective: 1) Students take first quiz and informal assessment of blending vowels/consonants.  2) Introduce resources available in the classroom. 

 

1. Quiz (two formats). 

2. Informal assessment of blending vowels/consonants on dry erase board.  

3. Introduce classroom resources (magazine, CD, tapes, computer, light pens)

4.  Review classroom expressions.  Teach new terms.

 

H/W: 1) Practice blending/discriminating syllables.  2) Memorize classroom expressions.           

 

 

 

Procedures for MS 3rd/5th Periods

1.             Quiz (basic greetings).

2.             Pass out “Teaching” slip.  Due on next Tuesday (9/9).

3.             Review family member terms and numbers 1-6.  Teach new numbers 7-10 and a new term “Wish you happy birthday”.

4.             Pair practice (numbers, telephone numbers)

5.             Game/Activity: 1) sing “Happy Birthday” song.  2) rotate and say numbers (count by #s)

 

  **    Start making your own index cards of new terms.
