Procedures and Homework Assignments for 10/20/08

Procedure for HS 1P (10/20/08)

 

 

Objective: Students will be able to make sentences for the quiz Part II tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) Quick Monday sharing. 

          2) Feedback from painting class?  Please claim your pens. 

  3) Please take good care of your textbook ($35 each) and    workbook ($23/24 each).  Lose either one and you’ll pay for it. 

  4) Chinese calligraphy class this Friday.

  5) All grades are posted.  Please check for accuracy. 

  6) Coordinator, please make arrangements if you would like to have a little party at the second half of our class on next Thursday (10/30).   

  7) Next quiz Thursday (10/30) on Lesson 2 (Part I/all ?)

2.   Check/Go over workbook sections F, G, & H.

 

 

H/W: Review workbook sections F, G, & H and textbook pages 1-8 for writing and reading comprehension test.  Make sure you know how to write Chinese characters.

 

 

 Procedure for HS 2P/9P (10/20/08)

 

 Objective: Students will be able to write math expressions in Chinese(characters for numbers 1 to 10, +, −, ×, ÷, & =) for quiz Part II tomorrow.

Procedure:

1.   1) Take Quick Monday sharing. 

          2) Feedback from painting class? Please claim your pens.                  3) Please take good care of your textbook ($35 each) and workbook ($23/24 each).  Lose either one and you’ll pay for it. 

  4) You lose 4 points if you do not turn in your four sentences!! 

  5) All grades are posted.  Please check for accuracy.    

  6) Coordinator, please make arrangements if you would like to have a little party at the second half of our class on next Thursday.

  7) Next quiz (10/30) on Lesson 2 (Part I or all?).

3.   Take a copy of /Go over handout (front nasal vowels), if time permits.

 

 

H/W: Review workbook section K and textbook (p. 20) for math expression format.  Make sure you know how to write Chinese characters for numbers 1 to 10 and math operators (5 points each for 4 questions).

 

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (10/20/08)

 

 

Objectives: Students will be able to 1) identify important cities/landmarks on the map, 2) retell the significance of the cities, and 3) acquire basic geographic knowledge through video viewing.

Procedure:

1.   1) Collect signature slips (5P only). 

              2) Our first quiz this Wednesday (10 terms-10 points).

2.   Check H/W: complete worksheet questions #1-10.

3.   Monday sharing (1-2 sentences).

4.   Video (“China”).  Collect your worksheet at the end.

5.   Review 14 terms.

 

H/W: Review all 14 terms for quiz on this coming Wednesday.
