Procedures and Homework assignments for 10/8/08

Procedure for HS 1P (10/8/08)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to master the skills in telling time through various activities.   2) Students will be able to make grammatical sentences.
Procedure:
1. 1) Turn in your homework.  2) Get a copy of square paper.  3) Skit tomorrow.  Memorize it, please.  If you work with me, please give me your draft before you leave, please.  5) Lesson 1 Quiz next Monday/Tuesday (?).   
2. Dictation on dry erase board (後, 星, 期, 號, 釣, 魚, 昨). 
3. Calendar time (start from today’s date/weekday and replace with other terms of day).
4. Continue sentence patterns #2.  Class activity (when were you born?). 
5. Model new characters (對, 錯, 知, 道, 可, 以, 為).

H/W: 1) It’s your responsibility to read textbook pages 5-8 thoroughly.  2) Write new vocabulary as homework tonight, one row each.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (10/8/08)
Objective: 1) Students will be able to say/write math expressions accurately.  2) Studnets will be able to discriminate consonants. 
Procedure:
1. 1) Turn in your homework.  2) Quiz Friday (consonants, 4 sentences, 6 characters).
2. Dictation on dry erase board (+, =, 8-10, 100, consonants).
3. Continue last group of consonants (zh ch sh r z c s).  
4. Teach new term (-) and model stroke order.

H/W: 1) Practice blending.  2) Write new characters, one row each.

Procedures for MS 3P/5P

Objective: Students will be able to say/write math expressions in Chinese. 

Procedures:

1.  Return all paper work. 

2.  Review terms from yesterday (+, -,  ×÷, =).

3.  Class activity (flash cards).  Pair practice.

4.  Q/A session: be sure to ask Ms. any terms you need for your project.

H/W: work on your project.  No late work is accepted after Friday.
