Procedures and Homework Assignments for 11/17/08

Procedure for HS 1P (11/17/08)

Objective: Students will perform a skit and use action words to describe their daily routine, hobbies and disclose information of their birthday.

H/W: Preview Lesson 3.

Procedure:

  1. Please double check with Ms. Chang to make sure you submit your topic for project before the end of today.
  2. Skit. Turn in your hard copy and rubric. Please follow the order to present your skit.
  3. Monday Sharing.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (11/17/08)

Objectives: 1) Students will identify someone, state his/her age, and welcome the person. 2) Students will acquire the knowledge of Chinese attitude towards age and the Chinese customs for celebrating birthdays.

H/W: 1) 3 new characters (one row each). 2) Read ReviewSounds #1.

Procedure:

1. 1) Oral quiz this Wednesday. 2) Quiz on Lesson 4 next Monday/Tuesday (?)

2. Informal assessment of 7 characters. Practice on dry erase board.

3. Monday sharing.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (11/17/08)

Objectives: Students will be able to state math expressions in Chinese.

H/W: Practice 5 math operators.

Procedure:

1. 1) Quick review before quiz (colors, sentences). 2) Turn in your class notes on Friday for grades. 3) Oral presentation this Friday. One copy for you to read and one copy for Ms. Chang to grade. 3) Art project next Monday and movie next Tuesday (our last day in Chinese class).

4. Pass back all quiz papers/homework papers (5P only).

5. Copy notes for new terms (body parts – 3P only).
