Procedures and Homework Assignments for 12/08/08

Procedure for HS 1P (12/8/08)

Objectives: 1) Students will complete their cultural project presentation. 2) Students will be able to ask/state the location of objects.

H/W: 1) 課文 31 2) 生字一行. 3) an index card.


1. 1) Take one copy of square paper. 2) Make an index cards with 9 terms for rooms (page 40, with pinyin, meaning, and characters). Be sure to turn in by Friday. You can use it for quiz next Monday. I keep it for you.

2. Skit (Michael)

3. Monday sharing. Read textbook page 29.

4. Review sentences on page 30 (see notes on the following page).

5. Model new characters.

6. Preview sentences on page 31. Read and check the comprehension of the floor plan.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (12/8/08)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to sight read sentences noted in Hanyu Pinyin. 2) Students will learn/pronounce classmates’ Chinese name. 3) Students will be able to identify objects and ask if someone knows something, and who owns an object through reviewing three sentence patterns: / 是什麼? “ , “”知道嗎?”, and / 是誰的 <object>?”

H/W: One row for each new characters. 2) Read textbook pages 32-33.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (12/8/08)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire geographic knowledge about China. 2) Students will be able to identify/label major cities and landmarks in China.



1. 1) Quick review before our first quiz. 2) Quiz.

2. 1) Skit. 2) Monday sharing.

3. Continue our video viewing “Travis Travels to China”.

4. Finish up reading packet. Complete the packet.
