Procedures and Homework Assignments for 12/10/08

Procedure for HS 1P (12/10/08)

Objective: Students will be able to describe the condition (new, old, broken, out of order) of objects.

H/W: 1) 生字一行. 2) Index card. 3) Write sentences for activity slip.


1. 1) Turn in your H/W and/or index card. 2) Take one copy of square paper. 3) Bring your workbook tomorrow.

2. Pair activity. Verbally describe to your partner and then write down your sentences as homework tonight.

3. Read/translate textbook pages 31/34.

4.         Sing a song (Dana, Ray, Louisa) to tell apart body parts, and other terms.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (12/10/08)

Objective: Students will familiarize themselves with sentence patterns in this lesson through various activities.

H/W: workbook sections B, C, and D on pages 27-29.


1. 1) Turn in your H/W. Take one copy of square paper. 2) Bring in your workbook tomorrow for listening activity.

2. Read textbook pages 34-35.

3. Crossword puzzle.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (12/10/08)

Objective: 1) Students will learn terms/Chinese characters for numbers 0 to 5. 2) Students will learn to use chopsticks to pick up Cheerios.

H/W: Memorize 6 terms and practice writing Chinese characters for 0 to 5.


1. 1) Check your H/W: index cards. 2) Quiz #2 on next Monday (12/15).

2. 1) Skit. 2) Show and tell: Chinese publications. (5P only).

3. Brainstorm the usage of numbers.

4. Teach new terms (numbers/characters 0 to 5). Pair practice. Take notes.

5. Practice using chopsticks. Newspaper hunting (3P only).
