Procedures and Homework Assignments for 12/16/08

Procedure for HS 1P (12/16/08)

Objective: Students will demonstrate their mastery of lesson 5 (part I) in the quiz. 2) Students will finish up their oral presentation for tomorrow.

H/W: Finalize your oral presentation. All work (poster, model, PPT and hardcopy) is due tomorrow regardless whether you present on Wednesday or Thursday.

Procedure:

1. 1) Collect any permission slip, money, or chaperon form, if any. 2) Quick review.

2. Quiz.

3. Class work for oral presentation.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (12/16/08)

Objective: Students will review “Review Sound#2” and all consonants/vowels handouts for their oral quiz tomorrow and winter break packet.

H/W: Sound out all sentences for oral quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

1. 1) Collect any permission slip, money, or chaperon form, if any. 2) Go over oral quiz rubric.

2. Sound out each sentence in Review Sounds #2 handout as a class.

3. Quick review of all consonants/vowels.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (12/16/08)

Objective: 1) Students will learn 4 terms for family members. 2) Students will learn to count from 0 to 50 through various activities/games. 3) Student work on the Chinese tangram piece game.

H/W: memorize 4 learned terms from today.

Procedure:

1. 1) Check H/W: 5 index cards. 2) Quick review and informal assessment.

2. Go over counting principle and count from 0 to 30 (3P) / 50 (9P).

3. Multiple game.

4.   Teach 4 new terms (older brother, older sister, younger brother, & younger sister). Pair practice. Take notes
