Procedures and Homework Assignments for 1/8/09

Procedure for HS 1P (1/8/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will work on their semester exam writing section/pen pal project. 2) Students will continue Lesson 3.

H/W: 1) Write one row for each new character. Memorize new characters. 2) Your draft of 5 sentences.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one copy of square paper. Turn in your character H/W. 2) Have your good clothes on tomorrow. Go over itinerary tomorrow.

2. Informal assessment. Try on dry erase board (, , , , ).

3. Model new characters (, , , , ).

4. Read Lesson 3 page 32.

5. Go over sentence patterns (#6-10) for Semester Exam: Writing Section.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (1/8/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will review sentence patterns. 2) Students will continue Lesson 6.

H/W: 1) One row for each new character. 2) Practice writing sentence patterns.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. Take one H/W paper. 2) Have your good clothes on tomorrow. Go over tomorrow’s itinerary (9P only).

2. Informal assessment (,, , , , , , , , ). Try on dry erase board.

3. Model new characters (, , , , ).

4. Review sample sentence patterns. Write down sentence patterns for your own record and your reference (2Ponly).

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (1/8/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will learn direction terms to play a game.

H/W: Memorize 5 supplementary terms (year, month, day, possessive, birthday).

Procedure:

1. Return your draft #2. Review and check.

2. 1) Watch a video tomorrow w/Mr. Goodman and Ms. Brown. 2) Quiz on 1/12/09 and make up quiz for students who go on a field trip (Great Lake Science Center) on 1/13/09.

3. Quick review of all 11 colors. Informal assessment.

4. Teach 6 direction terms. Divide students into pairs (3P) or groups of 4 (5P). Practice. Pick out representatives from each group. Game time.
