Procedures and Homework Assignments for 1/15/09

Procedure for HS 1P (1/15/09)

Objectives: Students will finish up Lesson 3.

H/W: 1) Write one row for each new character. 2) Review your sentence patterns.

Procedure:

1. 1) Check your WB page. 2) Bring in your draft for tomorrow. In case there is no school tomorrow, the writing section exam will be on 1/22 with your multiple choice section. 3) We’ll work on the commendation for your next year’s schedule at the end of January.

2. Go over the key to WB page 28.

4. Listen to CD (textbook page 35-41).

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (1/15/09)

Objectives: Students will finish up Lesson 6.

H/W: 1) Workbook pages 37-38. 2) Practice writing section sentence patterns.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. 2) Writing section exam tomorrow. In case there is no school tomorrow, the writing section exam will be on 1/21 or 1/22 with your multiple choice section. 4) We’ll work on the commendation for your next year’s schedule at the end of January.

2. Informal assessment. Try on dry erase board.

3. Introduce one supplementary character ()

4. Listen to CD (textbook page 43-50).

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (1/15/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will learn body parts for the game “Follow the leader”. 2) Students will practice Pinyin for their oral presentation on next Tuesday/Wednesday.

H/W: Practice sounding out your draft of oral presentation.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Pass back your draft. 2) Bring in your art supplies tomorrow for the art project. Collect at the end of the class period. If there is no school tomorrow, finish it over the weekend and turn it in on 1/20 with your class notes.
  2. Teach new terms (eyes, head, hair, eyebrow, nose, ears, mouth, shoulder, knee, hand, feet, let). Take notes. Practice.
  3. Game time.
