Procedurese and Homework Assignment for 2/3/09

Procedure for HS 1P (2/3/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their mastery of reading and speaking Lesson 3 text. 2) Students will work on/brainstorm their skit in.pairs.

H/W: 1) Memorize another 5 colors. 2) Practice new characters (, , , , , ).

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your H/W. 2) Scheduling consultation (level recommendations) starts today for the last 5 minutes at the end of class (Ms. Chang reviews/signs-off). 3) Ms. Chang is not available after school due to a departmental staff meeting at 2:30.

2. Informal assessment. Call out 6 colors and raise your flash cards.

3. Oral quiz. Randomly draw 2 passages and read to Ms. Chang. Meanwhile study your textbook pages 51-53 for new expressions and character list for 5 characters. Use your time wisely and effectively.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (2/3/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their mastery of Lesson 6. 2) Students will continue to learn how to describe their pets/animals and their pets.

Procedure:

1.  1) Turn in H/W (9P). 2) 2P Scheduling consultation starts today at the last 5 minutes of the period. 3) Ms. Chang is not available after school due to a departmental staff meeting at 2:30.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (2/3/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will showcase their Chinese speaking skills in the skit activity. 2) Students will gain basic geographic knowledge about China through a movie viewing activity.

H/W: Make flash cards.

Procedure:

1. 1) Quiz #2 next Tuesday. 2) Take makeup test, if any (for 5P only).

2. Pass out Unit 2/Unit 3 handout. Go over it.

3. Watch video to finish the reading packet.

4. Skit time.
