Procedures and Homework Assignments for 2/4/09

Procedure for HS 1P (2/4/09)

Objectives: Students will continue to learn colors and types of clothes.

功課: 1) 生字 一行 . 2) Memorize all 11 colors.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turin your H/W and a slip with student names for the skit. 2) Continue the scheduling consultation.

2. Informal assessment (5 colors).

3. Dictation. Try on dry erase board.

4. Model characters (, , , , ) from yesterday w/enrichment material.

5. Finish up oral quiz.

6. Model new characters (, , , ).

7.   Scheduling consultation.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (2/4/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will continue to learn new characters in this lesson. 2) Students will practice their fluency of lesson 7 text.

H/W: 1) 生字一行. 2) Practice reading text pages 54-58.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your H/W and/or movie slip, if any. 2) Return all papers. 3) Continue the scheduling consultation. 4) Oral quiz next Monday (randomly draw 2 pages from page 54-56). 5) Finalize and write your paragraph (use workbook 46 as your reference). Due next Tuesday. 6) Lesson 7 quiz next Friday. 7) Bring in your workbook tomorrow.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (2/4/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will apply basic greetings in their skit presentation. 2) Students will learn numbers 1-6.

H/W: Memorize 6 numbers. 2) Practice counting in various ways (counting up, counting down, or any randomly picked starting number).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Check H/W (flash cards). 2) Take makeup test. Missed work?
  2. Go over the key to the reading packet. Collect.
  3. Teach new terms (numbers 1-6)—pinyin, meaning and characters. Take notes. Pair practice.
  4. Practice counting 1-6, 2-6-1, 3-6-2, 4-6-3, 5-6-4, 6-1, counting down).
  5. Skit presentation.
  6. Practice chopsticks.
