Procedures and Homework Assignments for 2/18/09

Procedure for HS 1P (2/18/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will review for lesson 4 quiz. 2) Students will work on their skit in pairs.

H/W: 1) Finalize/Memorize your skit for tomorrow. 2) Study sentence patterns (text pages 48-50) for lesson 4 quiz on 2/20/09.

Procedure:

1. 1) Lesson 4 oral quiz—read passages next week (2/25?). 2) Audacity training session next week (Tuesday?) at the 2nd floor Dell lab.

2. Review session (colors, clothes items, measure words, descriptive words, sentence patterns).

3. Prepare your skit. Ms. Chang is more than happy to proofread your skit.

4. Listen to CD (textbook pages 43-45).

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (2/18/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will learn how to input Chinese characters from website resources and/or Microsoft installed keyboard software. 2) Students will continue to learn characters in lesson 8, if time allows.

H/W:

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. Take one PowerPoint rubric. 2) PowerPoint presentation on 2/24/09. Submit your file as an attachment to Ms. Chang’s website before the 2nd/9th period on 2/24/09. Save your file name as <#PYourLastName>. e.g., 2PBatel, 9PArmstrong. 3) Audacity session next week at the 2ne floor Dell lab.

2. Go over the rubric.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (2/18/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will continue to finish up colors for unit #4. 2) Students will build new sentences for their oral presentation..

H/W: Memorize another 6 colors (pink, brown, grey, yellow, purple, orange)

Procedure:

1. 1) Informal assessment. 2) Makeup work/quiz, if any.

2. Teach new terms (pink, brown, grey, yellow, purple, orange). Take notes. Pair practice.

3. Review four sentences (I am, I am … years old, There are # people in my family, I have <family members>).

4. Introduce/Build new sentences (My address is…., My phone number is ……).
