Procedure for HS 1P (2/23/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will share their weekend activities with their peers. 2) Students will review direction terms and body part through singing activity.

功課: Practice reading text pages 43-47 fluently for oral quiz on 2/25.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your question for Dr. McAloon. 2) Take one copy of Verb handout.

2. 1) Monday sharing. 2) Makeup quiz.

3. Sing songs.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (2/23/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will learn the usages of verbs today. 2) Students will practice reading lesson 8 text.

功課: Practice reading lesson 8 text.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your character H/W and your question(s) for Dr. McAloon. 2) Take one copy of Verb handout. 3) Submit your PowerPoint file by the end of tonight. PowerPoint presentation tomorrow. Bring in your rubric tomorrow.
  2. Monday sharing.
  3. Go over Verbs handout.
  4. Practice reading lesson 8 passages.
  5. Draw your number for the presentation tomorrow.
  6. Conversation card activity.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (2/23/09)

Objective: Students will learn 6 direction terms for tomorrow’s Pin the Tail on the Donkey game.

H/W: Memorize 6 direction terms (up, down, left, right, forward, backward).

Procedure:

1. Quick review before unit #4 quiz (11 colors and 4 supplementary terms—year, month, day, birthday).

2. Quiz./Return all papers

3. Monday sharing—5 period only.

4. Teach new terms (up, down, left, right, forward, backward). Take notes. Pair practice.

5. Teach two terms (zui, xi huan)—3 period only.

6. Teach 3 new sentence patterns (I like …. color, like … sport, I like …. animal)—3 period only.

7. Pass out animals handouts–5th period only.
