Procedure for HS 1P (3/10/09)
Objective: 1) Students will practice speaking skill in a shopping game. 2) Students will learn terms for fruits.
功課: 生字一行.
Procedure:
1. Health issue.
2. Dictation. Write on dry erase board.
3. Learn new characters (鳳, 梨, 草, 莓, 荔, 枝).
4. Shopping game. Presentation, if time allows.
Procedure for HS 2P/9P (3/10/09)
Objective: Students will learn different sports terms today.
功課: 生字一行.
Procedure:
1. 1) Take one copy of supplementary handout. 2) Bring in your workbook tomorrow for the sports survey activity.
2. Dictation. Write on dry erase board.
3. Learn new characters (游, 泳, 騎, 車, 跑, 步)—9P; (車, 跑, 步, 棒, 球)—2P.
4. Browse through textbook pages for common/different verbs.
5. Go over the supplementary handout.
6. Sport survey activity, if time allows.
Procedure for MS 3P/5P (3/10/09)
Objectives: 1) Students will review Ms. Chang’s grading policy. 2) Students will learn tone marks and terms of basic Chinese greetings.
H/W: Practice learned terms.
Procedure:
- 1) Collect H/W (signature slip and Student Inventory). 2) Pass out Grading Policy and class list (3P only).
- Go over Grading Policy as a class.
- Continue to teach terms of tone marks and Pinyin. Take notes. Pair practice.
- Teach terms (I am, You are, He/She, Zhang Lao Shi). Pair practice (How are you, good-bye, I am…, You are …., Zhang Lao Shi).
- Group activity (building community).
- Finish up Hanyu Pinyin handout.
