Procedures and Homework Assignments for 3/23/09

Procedure for HS 1P (3/23/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will finish up the new characters in lesson 5. 2) Students will work in pairs for their skit due on next Monday.

功課: 生字一行 / WB Page37 Section A (1, 2, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 20).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. 2) Bring in your workbook tomorrow.
  2. Monday sharing.
  3. Learn new characters (, , ).
  4. Pair activity—work on skit.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (3/23/09)

Objectives: Students will start reviewing lesson 9 for their skit, oral recording and quiz due in next week.

功課: WB pages 56 and 56 for Sections B and D.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. 2) Bring in your workbook tomorrow.

2. Monday sharing.

3,   Dictation. Try on dry erase board.

4.   Read textbook pages 77-79.

5.   Work on your skit.

Procedure for MS 3P (3/23/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will gain cultural/historical knowledge through a reading activity.

H/W: Memorize all 11 numbers and 6 characters.

Procedure:

1. Unit #2 quiz this Wednesday.

2. Review numbers 1-10 and 100. Pair practice.

3. Teach Chinese characters for 1-6. Practice writing.

4. Showcase Chinese publications.

5. Monday sharing.

Procedure for MS 5P (3/23/09)

Objectives: Students will start unit #3 about family.

H/W: Memorize all numbers 1-10 and 100 and Chinese characters for 1-10 and 100.

Procedure:

1. Review numbers 1-10 and hundred and Chinese characters for numbers 1-10 and 100.

2. Quiz #2.

3. Monday sharing.

4. Teach new terms (father, mother, older/younger brothers, older/younger sisters). Take notes. Pair practice.

5. Newspaper hunting activity.

6. Teach Chinese counting principle. Practice counting from 1-29.
