Procedures and Homework Assignments for 3/17/09

Procedure for HS 1P (3/17/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will practice their communication skills through Monday sharing routine. 2) Students will review learned terms (stationary, fruits, measure words, money) through a shopping list activity.
功課: Without looking the pinyin, practice reading textbook pages 55-59.
Procedure:
1. Tuesday sharing.
2. Group activity (4 per group. Each student gets 2 shopping lists and 6 items to sell. Students take turns asking other group members the availability of his requested item).

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (3/17/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will review learned terms through a collection game. 2) Students will draw their draft for their Lesson 9 skit.
功課:: Turn in a slip with your partner’s name and your choice of skit.
Procedure:
1. A bonus of 4 points (2P) and 1 point was added to the GradeBook already.
2. Tuesday sharing.
3. Group activity: Collection game (4 per group) / Number cards /
4. Introduce skit choices 1-3. Due on 3/30 or 3/31.
5. Pair activity: discussion of skit.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (3/17/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will gain geographical knowledge about China through a reading packet. 2) Students will able to locate major cities on a map. 3) Students will practice using chopsticks to pick up Cheerios.
H/W: Memorize 5 numbers (1-5).
Procedure:
1. Read the reading packet as a class. Complete the question section on the reading packet. Go over the key. Collect.
2. Label the cities on the map.
3. Chopsticks activity with Cheerios.
