Procedures and Homework Assignments for 3/26/09

Procedure for HS 1P (3/26/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will learn expressions of different degrees. 2) Students will finish up their skit.

功課: 1) Practice your skit. 2) Practice reading Lesson 5 text passages. 3) Study Lesson 5 for your quiz.

Procedure:

  1. Ms. Chang is not available after school today due to a meeting with guidance counselors.
  2. Check your WB pages 41-42 H/W. Go over the key to the WB pages 41-42 H/W.
  3. Go over textbook page 64. Class work: WB page 40 Section I. ( ó ; ó ; ó 便宜; ó ).
  4. Read textbook pages 55-61.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (3/26/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will review learned terms through various activities. 2) Students will finish up their skit.

功課: 1) Practice your skit. 2) Practice reading Lesson 5 text passages. 3) Study Lesson 9 for your quiz.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang is not available after school today due to a meeting with guidance counselors. 2) (2P) Draw the sticks for the order of skit presentation.
  2. Puzzle activity.
  3. Read text passages (textbook pages 77-79).
  4. Pair activity: work on your skit.
  5. Check your work/grades.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (3/26/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will know the origin of picturesque Chinese characters. 2) Students will continue to know supplementary terms for unit #3.

功課: Study 6 family member terms and 10 supplementary terms for next Tuesday’s quiz.

Procedure:

1. Quick review (family members, supplementary terms).

2. (3P) Multiple game.

3. (3P) Teach new terms (sui, ge ren, jia, you/he). Take notes. Pair practice. Make sentences for first draft.

4. (5P) Watch VHS movie “Chinese character for Horse.”

5. (5P) Cultural reading time.
