Objectives: Students will gain Chinese historical/cultural perspectives through viewing The Joy Luck Club movie.

功課: Study for quiz, practice for audacity, and work on skit and art project over this weekend.

Procedure:

1. (1P only) (1) Take one book and read pages 49-53 and 279-283. (2) Turn in your character H/W and take one slip of skit requirements.
2. (2P/9P only) (1) Take one book. Read pages 49-53 and 279-283 while Ms. Chang checks your WB H/W. (2) Check H/W key.
3. View “The Joy Luck Club.”
4. Discussion.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (4/24/09)

Objective: Students will gain historical/cultural knowledge through viewing a DVD about scenic spots and historical sites in China.

H/W: N/A.

Procedure:

1. Viewing DVD.

2. Review all learned terms (numbers, greetings, family members, colors, sports, body parts, animals).

3. Origami (ball).

4. Survey.
