Procedures and Homework Assignments for 4/28/09

Procedure for HS 1P (4/28/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will continue to learn/review new terms in lesson 6.

功課: 1) 生字一行 2) Work book page 52/Section F.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. Ms. Chang Checks your WB H/W. 2) Check key to the WB H/W page 50. 3) Audacity reading: pages 70-73 only. 4) Lesson 6 quiz postpones to next Tuesday (5/5). 5) Only skit script is needed on 5/4; no need to perform. Save it and combine with Lesson 7 skit later on!

2. Character recognition activity (example).

3. Learn new characters (, , , , , ).

4. Go over the Supplementary material handout.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (4/28/09)

Objectives: Students will review sentence patterns/terms in lesson 10.

功課: Study for your Audacity and quiz.

Procedure:

1. Art project is due tomorrow.

2. (2P only) Matching activity.

3. Read Lesson 10 passages (pages 85-87) as a class. Pair practice.

4. Culture reading: text pages 91-92.

5. Flash cards activity.

6. Dictation / Practice writing previously learned characters, if time allows.

Procedure for MS 5P (4/28/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will know their classmates and their teacher; teacher will know her students. 2) Students will learn grading policy and expectations.

H/W: 1) Signature slip. 2) Student Inventory, if not completed in class.

Procedure:

1. 1) Collect 7th graders’ signature slip. 2) Seventh graders get a free period today.

2. Pass out Class list. Students sit on their assigned seat.

3. Pass out/Go over Grading Policy and Classroom Rules.

4. Self-introduction.

5. Pass out/Go over Student Inventory as H/W tonight.
