Procedures and Homework Assignments for 5/4/09

Procedure for HS 1P (5/4/09)

Objective: 1) Students will review for quiz tomorrow. 2) Students will practice their speaking skill through a Monday Sharing routine.

功課: Study for quiz w/study guide and supplementary material.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your skit. 2) Reserve 5/21 for International Festival (4-6 PM).
  2. Monday sharing.
  3. Listen to CD/Work on Workbook page 54 (Section H). Check your answers.
  4. Go over the Lesson 6 Study Guide.
  5. Website to share: http://stroke-order.learningweb.moe.edu.tw/character.jsp (show the stroke order of all characters!!)
  6. Review session.
  7. Jeopardy game to try.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (5/4/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will practice their speaking skill through the Monday Sharing routine. 2) Students will review learned terms through a jeopardy game.

功課: 生字一行, if new characters are taught today.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one set of Lesson 11 character list. 2) Reserve 5/21 for International Festival (4-6 PM).

2. Monday sharing.

4. Game time: Jeopardy!

5. Learn new characters, if time allows.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (5/4/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will share with their peers what they did over the weekend so that they know their peers better. 2) Students will continue to learn basic greetings.

H/W: 1) Memorize learned terms. 2) 7th graders bring in your scissors tomorrow.

Procedure:

1. 1) Collect H/W (signature slip and Student Inventory). 2) Collect H/W (Reading packet).

2. Quick review of learned terms (Ni Hao, Wo Shi, Ni Shi, Zai Jian, Zhang Lao Shi, Zao An/Zao/Ni Zao, Wu An, Wan An).

3. Monday sharing.

4. Teach new terms (3P: Zao An/Zao/Ni Zao, Wu An, Wan An; 5P: Xie Xie, Bu Ke Qi, Dui Bu Qi, Mei Guan Xi).

5. (3P only) Showcase art project.

6. (5P only) Work on a skit. Collect at the end of the class.
