Procedure for HS 1P (5/11/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will practice their speaking skill through the Monday Sharing routine. 2) Students will share their opinions on Chinese cultural customs/manners.

功課: Practice reading lesson 7 text.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your 7-character H/W. 2) Audacity recording: at the MC classroom on Wednesday, 5/20. Lesson 7 quiz on Thursday, 5/21, and Skit on Friday, 5/22. 3) Check these two links at home tonight.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (5/11/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will know their peers through a Monday routine. 2) Students will finish up/review unit #1 for the quiz tomorrow.

H/W: Review for quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

  1. Welcome back, 8th graders!
  2. Collect H/W (signature slip, Students Inventory, reading packet, skit), if any.
  3. (3P only) Teach new terms (xie xie, bu xie/bu ke qi, dui bu qi, mei guan xi).
  4. Review learned terms. Informal assessment.
  5. Monday sharing/cut 2 paper patterns.
  6. Culture reading: China—the country, the language and the writing.
  7. Chopsticks practice.
