Procedures and Homework Assignments for 5/15/09

Procedure for HS 1P (5/15/09)

Objectives: Students will review workbook homework answers to prepare for the quiz on next Thursday. 2) Students will present a short version of skit for the formal skit on next Friday (5/22).

H/W: 1) Practice reading all text passage. 2) Workbook pages 58/62.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Ms. Chang checks your H/W WB pages 60/61. Check the key to pages 57, 59, 60, and 61. 2) Next year’s Chinese 3 class.
  2. Dictation.
  3. Pair/Group activity: Making phone calls.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (5/15/09)

Objectives: Students will review Chinese characters/terms through various activities (reading, matching, flashcards, & puzzle).

H/W: 1) Practice reading lesson 11 text passages. 2) Continue working on PP presentation. 3) Review lesson 11.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Turn in your character H/W. Return all papers. Grades for Lesson 11 characters writing assignments will be entered into the GradeBook after school today. 2) Seniors return your Ni Hao Chinese I books before 5/22 to avoid any fines. 3) Notes on characters (, ).
  2. Dictation.
  3. Activities: 1) Matching. 2) Jigsaw puzzle. 3) Flash cards, 4) Text reading.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (5/15/09)

Objective: 1) Students will gain geographical knowledge about China through viewing a video. 2) Students will complete a reading packet

H/W: Review learned terms (1-10, 0, 100).

Procedure:

  1. 1) Matching Chinese characters w/Pinyin or English meaning. 2) Informal assessment (1-10, 0, 100, and Chinese characters). 2) Study for quiz on next Monday (5/18).
  2. Movie time/Complete reading packet.
  3. Go over the answers, if time allows. Collect at the end of the class.
