Procedures and Homework Assignments for 5/22/09

Procedure for HS 1P (5/22/09)

Objective: Students will finish up their skit in class today.

H/W: Practice your skit over the weekend.

Procedure:

1. 1) Mr. Wilch’s visit next Tuesday. 2) Bring in your flash drive and upload it onto Ms’s Chang’s computer on Tuesday morning if you apply video shooting. 3) Ms. Chang will talk to the International Festival’s volunteers (Dana, Louisa, Ray, Candace).

2. Seniors, collect your textbook(s). Ms. Chang already e-mailed two files to your e-mail account.

3. Finish your Lesson 7 text passages (Kevin, Tyler, Candace, Christina).

4. Skit presentation (Dean, Christina, Marissa).

5. Class work/Independent work.

Procedure for HS 2P/9P (5/22/09)

Objectives: Students will read their Lesson 11 text passages today.

H/W: Finish up your PowerPoint presentation project.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Mr. Wilch’s visit next Tuesday. 2) E-mail Ms. Chang your PP file over the weekend and bring in your flash drive just in case. Otherwise upload it onto Ms. Chang’s computer on Tuesday morning if you do not e-mail me over the weekend. Make sure you have a printout for me. Bonus points for those who present without looking into your own notes.
  2. (2P) Pass back/review your Lesson 11 quiz paper. Collect.
  3. (2P) Reading text passage/Class work/Independent work.
  4. (9P) Pass back/review your Lesson 11 quiz paper and audacity result (8/4/8 point distribution for text passages on pages 83, 84 and 85 separately). Collect.
  5. (9P) Makeup work (Zachary, Kaitlyn).
  6. (9P) Class work/Independent work.

Procedure for MS 3P/5P (5/22/09)

Objective: 1) Students will work on their unit #4 flash cards today. 2) Students will gain historical/geographical knowledge about the Great Wall of China.

H/W: Memorize all learned terms for quiz on next Tuesday.

Procedure:

1. Informal assessment (shengri, nian, yue, ri, sui, jia, you, ge ren).

2. (5P only) Pass back draft #1. Questions?

3. (3P only) Finish up the very first 5 sentences. Collect.

4. Pass out colored strips. Class work: make 11 flash cards. Collect as participation grade today.

5. (5P only) Origami time: product #2 (gift box or ball). Collect as 2nd half of class participation grade.
