Procedures for 9/17/09

HS 1P (9/17/09) Procedure

Objectives: Learn names of basic Chinese strokes.

Homework: Cover textbook as homework assignment (5 points). Due on next Monday. Procedure:

1. 1) Take one square paper. 2) Pass out textbook. Check the condition and sign your name on the Inventory List as your exit slip today. 3) Cover your book as homework assignment.

2. Continue to learn simple Chinese characters. Finish up each row as homework tonight.

3. Finish up Chinese stroke order handout.

4. Read Lesson 1 text.

HS 2P (9/17/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Chinese II: continue lesson 6. 2) Review for quiz #3.

功課: 1) Chinese III: Study for Quiz #3 (Sample questions). 2) Chinese II: 生字一行

Procedure:

1. Chinese II: 1) Take a skit slip. 2) Ms. Chang checks your completeness of your homework. Go over the key to WB pages 49-50. 3) New character (, , , , , ). 4) Brainstorm your skit. Skit scripts are due on 9/24. Perform on 9/29-9/30.

2. Chinese III: 1) Skit scripts are due on 9/24. Perform on 9/29-9/30. 2) Take one copy of sample questions and skit slip. Work on the questions as homework tonight. 2) Go over common mistakes (making 6 sentences.).

HS 9P (9/17/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Learn names of basic Chinese strokes. 2) Gain knowledge about China (country, language, writing, pronunciation, etc).

Homework: 1) Cover textbook as homework assignment (5 points). Due on next Monday. 2) 8 Chinese characters, one row each.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one square paper. 2) Jeremie (textbook, workbook, paper patterns)

5. Teach/Learn simple Chinese characters (sun, moon, tree, person/people, water, fire, mouth and mountain, textbook page 3). Finish up each row as homework tonight.

6. Finish up Chinese stroke order handout.

7. Read Lesson 1 text.

MS 3P/5P (9/17/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Gain knowledge about Chinese food. 2) Write oral presentation draft.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1. Quick review (family members).

2. Pass out sentence pattern handout. Draft oral presentation sentences.

3. Culture reading (Chinese food). Pass out Chinese cookbooks.
