Procedures for 9/18/09

HS 1P (9/18/09) Procedure

Objectives: Learn names of basic Chinese strokes.

Homework: 1) Cover textbook as homework assignment (5 points). Due on next Monday. 2) 8 Chinese characters/One row for each character. 3) 5-sentence paragraph. Due on Monday.

Procedure:

1. 1) Check book cover, if any. 2) Pass back all papers. 3) Audacity Recording (9/23) on counting numbers, blending consonants/vowels. 4) Quiz #3 on 9/24 (Lesson one text/discriminating sounds/8 Chinese characters).

2. 1) Counting from 0 to 100. 2) Dictation.

2. Continue learning simple Chinese characters. Finish up each row as homework tonight.

3. Finish up Chinese stroke order handout.

HS 2P (9/18/09) Procedure

Objectives: Continue lessons 6/8.

功課: 1) Study text for your audacity over the weekend. 2) 5-sentence paragraph. 3) Chinese III: 生字一行 4) Chinese II: Workbook page 51. Due on next Monday (9/21).

Procedure:

1. Pass back all papers/homework passes.

2. Chinese II: 1) Turn in your character homework assignment. 2) Fix your Lesson 6 Skit checklist. 3) Read/explain text page 74/70-74. 4) Write cards for Zach M. 5) Workbook page 51. Check at the end of the class.

3. Chinese III: 1) Quiz #3. 2) New characters (, , , , , ). 3) Read text pages 96-98.

HS 9P (9/18/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Gain knowledge about China (country, language, writing, pronunciation, etc). 2) Learn about scenic spots and historical sites in China.

Homework: 1) Cover textbook as homework assignment (5 points). Due on next Monday. 2) A 5-sentence paragraph. Due next Monday.

Procedure:

1. 1) Check book cover, if any. 2) Turn in your character HW if you have not done so. 3) Return all papers/homework passes. 4) Makeup work (Jeremie, Daniel, Kayla, Pamela?) 4) Audacity Recording (9/23) on counting numbers, blending consonants/vowels). 5) Quiz #3 on 9/24 (Lesson one text/discriminating sounds, 8 Chinese characters).

3. DVD: Scenic spots and historical sites in China.

MS 3P/5P (9/18/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Show case art project samples. 2) Finish very 5 sentence Write oral presentation draft.

Homework: 5-sentence paragraph.

Procedure:

1. Quick review (family members, years old, etc).

2. Complete first 5 sentences. Collect at the end (5th period only).

3. Show case art project samples.
