Procedures for 9/16/09

HS 1P (9/16/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Gain fluency in counting numbers. 2) Enjoy Chinese folk art: cutting paper.

Homework: Practice counting numbers from 0-100.

Procedure:

1. 1) Work at Dell Lab on next Wednesday (9/23). Quiz #3 on next Thursday (9/24). 2) Turn in answer sheet of the reading packet. Trade and grade as a class. Collect.

2. Teach counting principle. Count from 0-100.

3. Pass out 2 paper patterns (longevity/double happiness).

4. Pass out workbooks. Write down your name right away. It is $24 per book!

HS 2P (9/16/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Practice reading skill. 2) Continue to learn lessons 6 and 8.

功課: 1) Read textbook lesson 6 and lesson 8 (audacity on 9/23). 2) Chinese II: WB pages 49-50.

Procedure:

1. 1) Chinese III: turn in your note explaining why not turning in homework assignment. 2) Chinese II: Turn in your new character homework. Ms. Chang checks your workbook.

2. Chinese II: 1) Special notes/extra characters: (jiē) street or avenue, (lù) road and (xiàng) for alley. // 你爸爸在哪裡工作? = 你爸爸做什麼工作? 2) Check the key to WB pages 47-48. 3) Read text pages 72-73. 4) Supplementary terms.

3. Chinese III: 1) Read Lesson 6-7. Questions? 2) Word search.

HS 9P (9/16/09) Procedure

Homework: 1) Cover textbook as homework assignment (5 points). Due on next Monday. 2) Practice counting numbers from 0-100.

Procedure:

1. 1) Quiz #3 on next Thursday (9/24). 2) Work at Dell Lab on next Wednesday (9/23).

2. 1) Review counting from 0-100. 2) Dictation.

3. Finish up 2 paper patterns (longevity/double happiness).

4. Pass out Workbooks and textbook. 1) Write your name on workbook. 2) Check the condition and sign your name on the Inventory List as your exit slip today. 3) Cover your book as homework assignment.

MS 3P/5P (9/16/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Enjoy Chinese folk art: cutting paper. 2) Learn new unit: family members.

H/W: Review family member terms.

Procedure:

1. 1) Makeup tests (Brenna, Jake). 2) Return all papers. 3) Count numbers from 0-100.

2. Finish up 2 paper patterns (longevity and double happiness).

3. Learn new terms (family members).

4. (9P: only) Culture reading: lucky and unlucky numbers.
