Procedures for 10/5/09

HS 1P/9P (10/5/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Students will practice writing/speaking skills through a Monday sharing routine.

Homework: Practice blending of (g, k, h)

Procedure:

1. 1) Please take a set of 2 handouts. 2) Continue to make arrangement with Ms. Chang for audacity pronunciation.

2. Monday sharing. Collect your paragraph.

3. Quick review (, , , , , , ). Take quiz #4.

4. Enjoy moon cakes with green tea.

5. (1P only) Briefly go over new blending (g, k, h) handout.

HP 2P (10/5/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Chinese II students will be able to talk about dates, days of the week, birthdays and to ask for permission. 2) Chinese III students will be able to talk about the weather, the duration and characteristics of the seasons and to understand a simple weather report.

功課: 1) Chinese II: 生字一行 / text pages 3-4. 2) Chinese III: 生字一行 / Read text passages on pages 107-108.

Procedure:

1. 1) Chinese III: take one copy of Lesson 9 supplementary handout and turn in your 6-character homework. 2) Makeup work: Rachel Wong/Zachary. 3) Chinese II quiz #4 this Wednesday (?). 4) Audacity recording next Tuesday/Wednesday (10/13 or 10/14).

2. Monday sharing. Collect your paragraph.

3. Chinese II: 1) Check answers to WB pages 2, 3, 5. 2) Q/A session (date, weekdays). 3) Independent study: WB page 1/CD; write new characters (, , , , ) / conversation cards/sentence patterns (dates, weekdays, birthdays, years, may…., yes or no, right or no).

4. Chinese III: 1) Teach new characters (, , , , , , , , , ). 2) Go over supplementary terms. 3) Independent work: write new characters (, , , , ). Read text passage

MS 3P/5P (10/5/09) Procedure

Objectives: 1) Students will practice writing/speaking skills through a Monday sharing routine. 2) Students will practice their oral presentation due on 10/9. 3)

Homework:

Procedure:

1. 1) Quick review (11 colors). 2) Take quiz #4. 3) Makeup work (3P: Navbir, Chris, Jake. 5P: Leah, Luke, Michelle). 4) Pass back final draft.

2. Monday sharing. Collect your paragraph.

3. Practice oral presentation.

4. Teach new terms (body parts) for Simon Says/Follow the Leader games.
