Objectives: 1) Students will perform their skit today. 2) Students will start lesson 5 today. 3) Students will continue back nasal sounds today.

Homework: Organized your binder.

Procedure:

1. 1) Some students did not submit their audacity recording or there were some problems in the file they submitted. 2) Turn in your binder at the end of the period tomorrow.

1. 1) Take one copy of Skit checklist. 2) Audacity tomorrow (1P: media center; 9P: Dell Lab at 2nd Floor). 3) Parent-teacher conference confirmation slip sent home today. 4) Ms. Chang is not available tomorrow after school due to a staff meeting.

2. 1) Go over checklist. 2) Read over Lesson 4 text. 3) Dictation.

Procedure:

1. 1) Get one copy of Lesson Four text passage slip and skit checklist. 2) Turn in your Chinese name homework assignment. Still missing several copies!! 3) Return all papers. 4) Turn in your folder/binder at the end of next Thursday. Will return the following Friday.

2. Dictation.

3. Finish up front nasal sounds handout. Pair practice.

4. Read Lesson Four text passages.

5. Brainstorm session: 1) find a partner for your skit, 2) use at least 4 different polite/greeting expressions (你好, 歡迎, 再見, 謝謝, 早安, 午安, 晚安, 請進), 3) one plural form (), 4) introduce each other and involve a 3rd party, 4) identify names, state ages, and 5) use terms “老師” and “同學” in your skit. Type your skit script. Due next Tuesday at the end of the Audacity. Perform on Wednesday. Memorize your script for bonus points.

Homework: Finish 2 rows for each of your Chinese name character.

1. 1) Take a square paper and a set of 2 handouts (front and back nasal sounds). 2) Return papers (characters, 5-sentence paragraph, etc). 3) (1P only) Pass out stroke order slip for your Chinese name. 4) Makeup test (Melissa, Mechaela). 5) Sign up the cooking lesson on Monday/Tuesday (11/9 and 11/10).
