Procedures for 11/12/09

HS 1P/9P (11/12/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will perform their skit today. 2) Students will start lesson 5 today. 3) Students will continue back nasal sounds today.

Homework: one row for each new character.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one set of character list, if you have not done so. 2) Leave your binder at the end of the class for grades. 3) Make arrangement with Ms. Chang for audacity (1P: Michaela, Wyatt; Ryan, Maggie, Ericka, Ashley. 9P: Cory, Anthony, Jeremie). Skit Script (Ashley, Ericka, Devon, Ryan). Otherwise you do not earn any grades for this assignment.

2. Skit performance (1P:Michala/, Lillian/Heidi, Colin/Jay; 9P: Cory/Eddie).

3. 1) Go over common mistakes ( ; 幾歲 => 是誰; 歡迎, 請進). 2) Finish up back nasal sounds. 3) Dictation.

4. Teach new characters (, , , , ).

HS 2P (11/12/09)

Objectives: Students will continue their new Ni Hao 3 Lesson 1 and Ni Hao 2 Lesson 3 today.

Homework: 1) 中文二學生: 生字一行; read page 29. 2) 中文三學生: 生字一行; read textbook pages 1 and 7.

Procedure:

1. 中文二學生: 1) Take one copy of Lesson Three Supplementary Terms handout. 2) Make arrangement with Ms. Chang for audacity before the end of tomorrow (Kaitlyn, Trey, Amelia, Kevin, Brianna, Victoria, Josiah). 3) Go over the supplementary terms independently. 4) Return all papers (5-sentence paragraph, character homework). 5) Read text page 29. 6) Learn new characters (, , , , ). 6) Go over common mistakes (我在 Ving; 房子 ó ).

2. 中文三學生: 1) Take one copy of Lesson One Supplementary Terms handout. 2) Learn new characters (, , , , , ).

MS 3P/5P (11/12/09)

Objectives: Students will learn sports terms.

Homework: Review all learned terms.

Procedure:

1. Quick review (11 colors).

2. Teach animal supplementary terms, if needed.

3. Pass out/go over sports handout. Teach supplementary sports terms.
