Procedures for 12/15/09

HS 1P/9P (12/15/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will present their oral presentation about their family today. 2) Students will finish up lesson 6 workbook pages.

Homework: Study for quiz on this Thursday.

Procedure:

1. 1) Ms. Chang returns your papers. 2) Ms. Chang checks the completeness of your WB pages at the end of the class period. 3) (1P only) Get a copy of answer key to WB pages 35/38/40 at the end of the class if you complete your WB assignment.

2. Oral presentation. Work on your WB pages while you listen to your classmates’ presentation.

HS 2P (12/15/09)

Objectives: 1) Chinese II students will present their oral presentation about their house floor plan today. 2) Chinese III students will practice sample tasks today and review for their quiz on this Thursday.

Homework: Chinese III students practice tangram/origami, and study your lesson 1.

Procedure:

1. 1) Ms. Chang returns all papers and flash drives. 2) Chinese III students get one copy of study guide.

2. Chinese II: Presentation.

3. Chinese III: 1) Get one copy of Lesson 1 Part II study guide. 2) An Ru Yi is visiting this Thursday (?). Amazing Race postpones to Thursday. Quiz is on Friday. 3) Practice sample tasks (tangram, getting change, folding papers, flash cards, etc). 4) Review WB pages.

MS 3P/5P (12/15/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will continue to learn/finish up learning Chinese Pinyins and characters about numbers 0-10 and 100. 2) Students will gain knowledge about Chinese food/cuisine. 3) Students will learn Rock, scissors, and paper game in Chinese version

Homework: 1) Review learned terms (0-10, 100). 2) Chinese characters assignment (0-10, 100).

Procedure:

1. Quick review (3P: 1-5; 5P: 0-10)—sounds and Chinese characters.

2. (3P) Skit – Victoria and Allison.

3. Teach new terms (3P: 6-10; 5P: 0 and 100)—sounds and Chinese characters. (5P) Collect your character assignment.

4. (5P) Learn Chinese number counting principle.

5. (3P) Showcase Chinese cook books.

6. (5P) Culture reading: finger guessing game.

7. (%P) Showcase art project sample work.
