Procedures for 12/17/09

HS 1P/9P (12/17/09)

Objectives: 1) Students will finish up their oral presentation about their family today. 2) Students will review for their lesson 6 quiz tomorrow.

Homework: Study for quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Six Study Guide. 2) 5-sentence paragraph is due on 1/4/10. 3) Audacity recording is scheduled on 1/11/10.

2. Oral presentation (1P: Ericka, Wyatt, Colin; 9P: Jeremie, Shauna, Cory, Eddie).

3. Go over Study Guide.

4. Review game: magnet characters/listening comprehension.

5. (1P) Teach Review Sounds #2.

HS 2P (12/17/09)

Objectives: 1) Chinese II students will finish their oral presentation about their house floor plan, play Pin the Tail on the Donkey game and try Macarena to review all direction terms. 2) Chinese III students will run Amazing Race today.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1. 1) Chinese III students turn in your character homework (, , , , ). 2) Ms. Chang returns all papers.

2. Chinese II: 1) Presentation (Kevin, Brianna, Kay Leigh). 2) Pair practice: Pin the Tail on the Donkey game.

3. Chinese III: 1) A few notes before going out. 2) Get your wrist band, folder w/your passport, and a plastic bag. Good luck.

MS 3P/5P (12/17/09)

Objectives: 1) 3P students will solidify their Chinese number characters through a connecting dots activity. 2) Students will gain knowledge about Chinese characters through a video viewing. 3) 5P students will solidify their Chinese number characters through a coloring activity.

Homework: Review for quiz tomorrow.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Missing assignment (3P: Jennafer: paper cutting/Chinese characters). 3) (5P) Collect Connecting Dots homework.

2. Quick review (0-10, 100)—sounds and Chinese characters.

3. (3P) Chinese characters hunting activity/Chinese character connection activity.

4. VHS viewing: Chinese word for horse.

5. (5P) Pass out coloring activity paper. Coloring activity.
