Procedures for 2/8/10

HS 1P/9P (2/8/10)

Objectives: 1) Student will make recording of Lesson 7. 2) Students start working on their PowerPoint presentation project.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1. 1) Take a copy of instructions. 2) Turn in your 5-sentence paragraph.

2. Record Lesson 7 text.

3. Work on your PowerPoint presentation project. Turn in a printout of your draft.

HS 2P (2/8/10)

Objective: Students will practice listening comprehension through viewing many video clips or sound files.

Homework: Study for mini quiz on Wednesday.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take a copy of instructions and answer sheet. 2) Turn in your 5-sentence paragraph.

2. Follow the instructions to finish viewing video clips and sound files. Turn in your answer sheet.

MS 3P/5P (2/8/10)

Objectives: 1) 3P students will take a quiz, start learning numbers and corresponding Chinese characters. 2) 5P students will continue number unit, learn writing Chinese characters for numbers. 3) Students will brainstorm ideas for their art project.

Homework: Review learned terms (1-4/1-8).

Procedure:

1. (3P only) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review (basic greetings). 3) Quiz. 4) Monday sharing. Collect paragraph. 5) Teach numbers 1-4 and write Chinese characters 1-4. 6) Check out Chinese publications.

2. (5P only) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review (numbers 1-4). 3) Monday sharing. Collect. 4) Teach new terms (5-8) and Chinese characters (1-8).

3. Showcase art project sample work.
