Procedures for 2/10/10

HS 1P/9P (2/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review sentences in Lesson 2 to Lesson 7. 2) Students will prepare game board for a review Bingo game. 3) Students will start Lesson 8 today.

Homework: One row for each new character (, , , , ).

Procedure:

1. 1) Ms. Chang returns all PP drafts. Make sure you correct your own draft, keep Pinyins for all characters and save in your H drive. You will continue to build sentences upon it. Use CozyChinese.com to convert all characters into characters with Pinyins! 2) Missing work? (1P: Nathaniel, Wyatt, Colin, Devon, Ryan, Ericka, Aashna, James, Bryan, Adam F. 9P: Cory, Eddie, Cameron, Joel, Jeremie, Mitch)

2. Learn new characters (, , , , ).

3. Prepare for the Bingo game. Fill in your Bingo game board.

4. (1P only) Sentence review activity.

HS 2P (2/10/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review for tomorrow’s mini quiz. 2) Students will continue Lesson 2 and lesson 4 today.

Objectives: 1) Students will learn Chinese counting principle. 2) Students will continue to explore Chinese folk art: cutting paper.

Homework: review all learned terms.

Procedure:

1. (3P) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach new terms (4-8). 4) DVD: Chinese zodiac animals. 5) Finish up paper cutting patterns.
