Procedures for 2/11/10

HS 1P/9P (2/11/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review terms in Lesson 2 to Lesson 7 through a Bingo game. 2) Students will continue to learn characters in Lesson 8. 3) (1P only) Students will finish viewing Monkey King.

Homework: One row for each new character (, , , , ).

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character assignment. 2) Missing PP drafts (1P: Adam F., James, Caitlin, Wyatt, Colin, Aashna, Bryan, Ericka, Devin, Ryan; 9P: Jeremie, Eddie, Kayla, Cam, Joel, Cory, Mitchell). 2) Return Audacity slip (Adam F., Aashna, Caelin, Heidi, Brad talk to Ms. Chang, please.). Common mistakes (, )

2. Learn new characters (, , , , ).

3. Bingo game.

4. (1P only) DVD view: The Making of Monkey King.

HS 2P (2/11/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will take a mini quiz. 2) Students will continue Lesson 2 and lesson 4 today.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character assignment. 2) Makeup test (Dean, Victoria, Amelia, etc).

2. Chinese II: 1) Review descriptive terms (時髦, 漂亮, 舒服, 合身, 寬的, 窄的, 深的, 淺的, 短的, 長的, 新的, 舊的, 破的, 壞的). 2) Mini quiz. Learn terms (, , ó , , ; 怎麼樣, 你看). 3) Go over text pages 45-46.

MS 3P/5P (2/11/10)

Objectives: 1) (3P) Students will learn Chinese counting principle. 2) Students will continue to explore Chinese folk art: cutting paper.

Homework: review all learned terms.

Procedure:

1. (3P) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Teach new terms (9, 10, 0, 100) w/Chinese characters. Collect. 4) Learn Chinese counting principle. 5) Finish up paper cutting patterns. 6) Newspaper hunting activity.

2. (5P) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Missing work (Brittany, Chad, Sam, Disha). 4) Finish up paper cutting patterns. 5) Newspaper hunting activity. 6) Connecting activity, if you are done with both activities.
