Procedures for 2/19/10

HP 1P/9P (2/19/10)

Objectives: Students will be able to recognize countries through playing a Name That Country game. 2) Students will be able to apply learned terms in creating a skit.

Homework: Practice reading text pages 66-67.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return papers. One assignment without name!! 2) Interim report cards will be distributed on next Friday. ProgressBook closes on Tuesday morning. Check the ProgressBook over this weekend to make sure your grades is correct. 3) No 5-sentence paragraph this weekend. 4) Common mistake ().

2. Read text pages 66-67.

3. Game time: Name the country.

4. Skit time: Go over 3 skit cards. Students pair with a partner, choose a skit, and work on at least three sentences. Collect at the end of the class period.

HP 2P (2/19/10)

Objectives: 1) Chinese II students will review material for their Lesson Four test. 2) Chinese III students will be able to talk about modes of transport and their use.

功課: 1) 中文二: Study for test and practice for audacity. 2) 中文三: 生字一行 (, , , , , ).

Procedure:

Kristine/Christina/Rachel turn in your work. 2) No 5-sentence paragraph this weekend. 3) Chinese II Lesson Four test is on Wednesday (2/24). Chinese III Lesson Two text is on the following Monday (3/1).

2. 中文二: 1) Class work: read text passage on the bottom of page 53. 2) Listening activity: WB page 36. Go over the answer key.

3. 中文三: 1) Learn new characters (, , , , , ). 2 Pair/Group activities: Follow the activity sheet to complete two tasks. Collect at the end of the class. 3) lass work: read text pages 18-23, if time allows.

MS 3P/5P (2/19/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will complete their first draft of oral presentation. 2) Students will gain historical knowledge about the Great Wall of China through viewing a DVD. 3) Students will continue to brainstorm ideas about what and how they are going to make in their final art project.

Homework: Review for unit #3 quiz.

Procedure:

1. 1) (3P) Quick review. Quiz. 2) (5P) Return all papers. 3) Missing work (Disha: connecting the dot). 4) No 5-sentence paragraph over this weekend. 5) Interim report cards will be distributed on next Friday. ProgressBook closes on Tuesday morning. Check the ProgressBook over this weekend to make sure your grades is correct. 6) (5P) Quiz on next Monday.

2. Check/collect grades for your origami products.

3. Construct oral presentation draft: sentence #5. Collect.
