Procedures for 2/12/10

HS 1P/9P (2/12/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will continue to learn characters in Lesson 8. 3) Students will finish viewing two DVDs about Monkey King and Beijing Stadium.

Homework: 1) One row for each new character (, 西, ). 2) 5-sentence paragraph describing an object.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character assignment. Ms. Chang returns all papers. 2) Missing PP drafts (1P: Adam F., James, Caitlin, Wyatt, Colin, Aashna, Bryan, Ericka, Devin, Ryan; 9P: Jeremie, Eddie, Kayla, Cam, Joel, Cory, Mitchell). 3) Makeup work (Adam F., Caelin, & Brad talk to Ms. Chang, please.). 4) (9P only) Return audacity slip. Ryan, Cory, Kayla & Jeremie to Ms. Chang, please. Finish all audacity on/before next Tuesday.

Objectives: 1) Chinese III students will practice reading text passages in Lesson 2 today. 2) Students will continue to view the building/designing process of Beijing Statium.

功課: 生字一行: 1) 5-sentence paragraph describing an object (colors, sizes, usage, ownership), etc). 2) Text pages (中文二: 45-46; 中文三: 21-23). 3) 中文三: pen pal letter. Due on next Tuesday. 中文二: WB page 35.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Makeup test (Amelia, Leshe, Kevin, Christina, Michael, etc).

MS 3P/5P (2/12/10)

Objectives: 1) (3P) Students will learn Chinese counting principle. 2) Students will continue to explore Chinese folk art: cutting paper.

Homework: 5-sentence paragraph.

Procedure:

1. (3P) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Makeup work? 4) Finish up paper cutting patterns, newspaper hunting activity and Connecting the Dots activities.

2. (5P) 1) Return papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Missing work (Brittany, Disha). 4) Quiz. 5) Finish up newspaper hunting activity, paper cutting, and Connecting the Dots activities, if you are done with both activities. 6) DVD: The Great Wall of China.
