Procedures for 3/1/10

HS 1P/9P (3/1/10)

Objectives: Students will complete WB page 53 and review study guide for Lesson 8 test tomorrow.

Homework: Study Lesson 8.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Take one copy of Lesson 8 Study Guide. 3) Listening comprehension on this Wednesday. Audacity on Thursday? 4) Walk in parent-teacher conference this Thursday, 4-7 PM. 5) Bring in your stapler and glue gun tomorrow.

2. Read text pages 66-69.

3. Go over Lesson 8 study guide. Practice sample questions.

4. Work on WB page 53. Please let Ms. Chang know when you are done. Go over key to WB page.

5. Pair activity: interview your partner (English name, Chinese name (姓, ), nationality (no American), language ability, & dream career). Save the answer for near future.

HS 2P (3/1/10)

Objectives: 1) 中文二students will finish up their skit by the end of tomorrow and review sentence patterns for makeup test. 2) 中文三students will prepare/review sample questions for their lesson two test tomorrow.

Homework: 1) 中文二: Finish up your skit. Due tomorrow. 2) 中文三: Study for your Lesson Two.

Procedure:

1. 1) 2nd listening comprehension on this Wednesday and audacity on next Monday. 2) Walk-in parent-teacher conference on this Thursday, 4-7 PM.

2. 中文二: 1) Pair activity: study sentence patterns, work on sample questions and complete your skit. 2) Makeup test—average two grades and count into lesson four writing section.

3. 中文三: 1) Return all papers. Take one copy of Lesson Two Study Guide. 2) Check your WB page 28 assignment. 3) Go over answer key to assignment with a diagram. 4) Go over Study Guide. 5) Practice writing questions on WB page 24.

MS 3P/5P (3/1/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will prepare for draft #2 their oral presentation on Thursday. 2) Students will explore tangram pieces game.

Homework: Work on your art project and practice your oral presentation.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Quick review. 3) Unit #4 quiz.

2. Teach new terms and sentences #8-10. Construct last three sentences. Pair practice. Collect draft #2 for grades.

3. (3P) Chinese finger guessing game. Compete tomorrow

4. Introduce tangram piece game and explore basic patterns.
