HS 1P (3/16/10)

Objective: Students will be able to talk about their favorite sports, and to invite people to play sport.

Homework: One row for each new character.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one slip of tested terms on 3/22. 2) Turn in your character assignments. 3) Ms. Chang returns papers w/comments. 4) Common writing mistakes (, ). 5) The following HS students (Ashley, Ericka) talk to Ms. Chang regarding audacity makeup work before the end of this Friday. Otherwise count zero! 6) Another fully funded scholarship for leadership in Vermont (American-Iraqi Youth Leadership Camp). 7) MS students turn in writing assignments/revised drafts etc on next Monday.

Objective: 1) Students will explore Chinese traditional folk art (paper cutting) today. 2) Students will start unit #2 (numbers) today.

Homework: Review unit#1 and learned terms today.

Procedure:

1. 1) Ms. Chang returns papers (paragraph, characters). 2) Quick review unit #1 terms. 3) Unit #1 quiz will be on Thursday instead of on Friday due to 8th grade Washington DC trip meeting at 5th period on Friday. Report to Ms. Chang first for attendance before you go to auditorium!!

2. Teach unit #2 terms (yi, er, san, si, wu). Write Chinese characters.

3. Paper cutting pattern (longevity).

4. Finish finger guessing game.

5. Brainstorm your skit with your partner. Finish it in class by tomorrow.
