Procedures for 4/1/10

HS 1P/9P (4/1/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will evaluate a software package. 2) Students will work on their skit draft. 3) Students will practice conversation.

Homework: Skit.

Procedure:

1) Return all papers (audacity, lesson 9 test, character writing assignments, PP draft). 2) Go over common mistakes (wei4, zou3, qu4, xi3, huan1, mang2). 3) Announce Summer Bridge program. 4) Missing many PP draft #3 work?

1. Makeup test (1P: Erin, Adam Y.; 9P: Cory). Makeup audacity (1P: Brad, Michaela; 9P: Ryan, Claire, Jeremie, Tyler, Cory)

2. Groups take turns evaluating Great Wall Chinese software package.

3. Pair activity: 1) Conversation practice. 2) Complete your lessons 8/9 skit. Due on Tuesday, 4/13.

HS 2P (4/1/10)

Objectives: 1) Chinese III students will review vocabulary through a charade game. 2) Chinese II students will review their vocabulary through flash card activity. 3) Students will evaluate a software package.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1. 1) Bonus points for Trey, Alex, Leshe and Kara for communicating with your pen pals. Will e-mail your parents to apologize and fix your 3rd quarter grades. 2) Ms. Chang checks your WB page H/W. Go over answer key. 3) Return papers (character writing assignments).

2. Chinese II: 1) Group activity: flash cards. 2) Brainstorm your skit (asking prices, ask other choices, etc).

3. Chinese III: quick review. Take Lesson Three Mini Quiz #2.

4. Groups take turns evaluating Great Wall Chinese software package.

MS 3P/5P (4/1/10)

Objectives: Students will take a quiz and prepare unit #4 materials.

Homework: 10-sentence paragraph

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers (5-sentence paragraph, oral presentation draft #1). 2) Review your own mistakes.

2. (5P) 1) Quick review. 2) Unit #3 quiz.

3. Pass out colored strips, glue sticks and index cards. Make index cards. Collect as today’s participation grades.

4. (3P) Culture reading: Chinese food.

5. (5P) Browse through Chinese cookbooks.
