Procedures for 5/3/10

HS 1P/9P (5/3/10)

Objectives: Students will practice and review for tomorrow’s test.

Homework: Study for test.


1. 1) Take one copy of study guide and PPT checklist. 2) Return MS students papers (PPT draft #4, audacity grades) for review. Collect. 3) Missing work (PPT draft #4: Caelan, James, Scott). Talk to Ms. Chang for audacity work (Colin, James, Adam F.). Check Progress Book for any discrepancies. Interim reports will be distributed on this Friday.

2. Go over study guide.

3. Practice sample writing problems.

HS 2P (5/3/10)

Objectives: Students will practice their speaking/listening skills through a Monday sharing routine and conversation questions.

Homework: 1) 中文二: WB page 87. 2) 中文三: WB page 44.


1. Grades for interim reports close on this Wednesday. Interim reports will be distributed on this Friday. Check Progress Book for any discrepancies.

2. 中文二: 1) These students talk to Ms. Chang, please (Kevin, Amelia, Zach, Trey, Brianna, Kara, Kay Leigh, Kaitlyn, Michael—audacity; Leshe, Kara: test; Brianna, Leshe, Kara). 2) Practice conversation questions. 3) Work on WB page 87.

3. 中文三: 1) Monday sharing. 2) Makeup test (Marissa). These students talk to Ms. Chang, please (Ray, Christina, Marissa—audacity; Candace—PPT). 3) Check your WB page 42. Go over the answer key. 4) Work on your WB page 44.

MS 3P/5P (5/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Teacher/Students will know one another through a Monday sharing. 2) Students will continue to learn basic greeting terms. 3) Students will gain historical/geographic knowledge about China through a reading activity. 4) 5P students will practice chopsticks

Homework: (5P) Finish two rows of Chinese characters (sun, moon).


1. 1) Monday sharing. Collect. 2) Any signature slip?

2. Quick review (Ni Hao, Ni Shi, Wo Shi, Zai Jian, Lao Shi, Xie Xie, Bu Xie, Bu Ke Qi).

3. (3P) DVD: China. Finish reading packet. Collect.

4. (5P) Teach new terms (Zao, Zao An, Ni Zao, Wu An, Wan An). Culture reading (pgs 1-2). Practice chopsticks with cereal.
