Procedures for 5/25/10

HS 1P/9P (5/25/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their proficiency of Lesson 11. 2) Students will practice reading for Wednesday audacity.

Homework: Practice for audacity and PPT.

1. 1) Quick review. 2) Sign up for rice dumpling wrapping before you leave the classroom today. Ms. Chang and guest teacher need the numbers for purchasing purpose. 3) Finish up PPT on Thursday.

2. Lesson 11 quiz.

3. Independent study: read Lesson 11 text passages.

4. (1P) Watch a few video clips: 加油 by 花兒樂隊.

HS 2P (5/25/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review WB pages to prepare for semester final exams. 2) Chinese II students will apply new sentence pattern for application.

Homework: 1) Practice text passages for audacity tomorrow. 2) 中文三: WB page 60.

Procedure:

1. 1) Take one set of answer key and text passages slip. 2) Draw two sticks for your recording. 3) Sign up for rice dumpling wrapping before you leave the classroom today. Ms. Chang and guest teacher need the numbers for purchasing purpose. 4) Good news to share!!

2. 中文二: 1) Teach/model sentence pattern: 因為….所以. Finish up WB page 66 in class. 2) Model WB page 61 / Section F. Finish up in class. Independent work: 3) Independent study: 2) Read text passages on pages 82-85. 4) Check your WB pages with answer key.

3. 中文三: 1) Read text passages on pages 62-69. 2) Work on WB page 60. 3) Check WB answer key. Questions?

MS 3P/5P (5/25/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will practice their oral presentation. 2) Students will continue to build sentences for their oral presentation.

Homework: Review all learned terms.

Procedure:

1. 1) Quick review (8 colors / numbers + Chinese number characters). 2) (3P) Introduce website for inputting Pinyin.

2. Teach new terms (orange, pink, grey, jia, you, ge ren).

3. Build sentence #3.

4. Pair activities: 1) Practice reading your own oral presentation sentences. 2) Quiz each other for color flash cards.

5. Origami: part II.
