Procedures for 5/19/10

HS 1P/9P (5/19/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will review their work (PPT, Food Consumption Log, characters).2) Students will finish all characters needed for Lesson 11.

Homework: 1) WB page 73 / Section F. 2) 生字一行.3) Practice sounding out your PPT script.4) MS students, practice your conversation questions.

Procedure:

1. 1) Turn in your character assignment. 2) Ms. Chang returns all papers. 3) Check Progress Book for accuracy.

2. Go over common mistakes. (Skipped this sentence: 我有爸爸, 媽媽, #個哥哥, #個姐姐, #個弟弟, #個妹妹; used commas between year, month and day; did not have 15 slides; did not have pictures, clip arts pictures or images for each slide; had too much information squeezed in one slide; used 我想吃 / ….instead of 我喜歡吃 / …;

3. Learn new characters (, , ).

4. Read Lesson 11 text passages.

5. (9P) Go over Lesson 11 Supplementary Materials handout.

6. Pair activity: practice reading your PPT.

HS 2P (5/19/10)

Objectives: 1) 中文二學生練習會話2) 中文三學生: enrichment materials 和課文.

功課: 1) 中文二: WB pages 61 & 64.. 2) 中文三: WB page 52.

Procedure:

1. 1) Return all papers. 2) Check Progress Book for accuracy. Writing assignment grades will be posted over the weekend. 3) Make appointments with Ms. Chang for your Monday Sharing.

2. 中文三學生: 1) Go over text passages on pages 66-67. 2) Go over Lesson Five Supplementary Materials handout.

3. 中文二學生: 1) Practice conversation questions as a class. Independent study: 2) Practice Lesson Seven text passages.

MS 3P/5P (5/19/10)

Objectives: 1) (3P) Students will prepare flash cards for unit #4 (colors). 2) Students will start building sentences for their oral presentation.

Homework: Review learned terms (siblings, Chinese characters).

Procedure:

1. 1) Quick review (siblings and 8 Chinese characters). 2) Return all papers.

2. Teach new terms (xi huan, zui, sui).

3. Write sentences #1, #2, #8, & #9 (name, sports, and animals).

4. (3P) Make flash cards.

5. (5P) Showcase art project samples: PPT and craft.
