Procedures for 9/8/10

rocedure for HS 1P (9/8/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will gain geographic knowledge about China.  2) Students will review for quiz tomorrow.

Homework: 1) Study for quiz tomorrow.  2) Complete the reading packet.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of reading packet.  2) Make sure you try tone drill websites for practice.
  2. Dictation on dry erase board: Review all learned terms, tones and characters.
  3. DVD: Places in China.
  4. Pair activity.  Read the packet and complete the answer sheet.  Collect tomorrow.

Procedure for HS 2P (9/8/10)

目標: 1) Students will showcase their mastery of Chinese Two materials.  2) Students will continue Lesson Eight material.

功課: 1) Complete Chinese characters writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages.

  1. 1) Turn in your sentence-making homework.  2) Return papers.  3) Quick review.  Questions?
  2. Take test #1.
  3. Learn new characters (留, 對).

Procedure for HS 9P (9/8/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will showcase their mastery of dates and various day phrases.  2) Students will be able to ask/answer questions about dates and weekdays.

Homework: Chinese characters (行, 釣).

Procedure:

  1. Quick review.
  2. Quiz #1.
  3. Teach new characters (行, 釣).
  4. Sentence patterns/Conversation practice.

Procedure for MS 3P (9/8/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to memorize numbers from one to six.  2) Students will be able to try out Chinese traditional folk art—cutting paper patterns.

Homework: Chinese characters writing assignment.

Procedure:

  1. Review numbers/Chinese characters (1-6).
  2. Explain/brainstorm art projects/Promoting Chinese language learning video clip.
  3. Paper pattern cutting (longevity and double happiness).

Procedure for MS 5P (9/8/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to memorize numbers from one to four.  2) Students will gain geographic knowledge about China.

Homework: 1) Chinese characters writing assignment.  2) Reading packet.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers.  2) Turn in your character writing assignment (14 characters).  3) Take a copy of reading packet.
  2. Teach new terms/learn new Chinese characters (numbers 1-4).
  3. Pair activity: Students complete their packet.  Complete as homework tonight.
