Procedures for 9/24/10

Procedure for HS 1P (9/24/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their mastery of numbers and d/t/n/l consonants.  2) Students will be able to learn Chinese characters for math operators.  3) Students will gain cultural knowledge about Chinese characters, pronunciation, and publications.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 18-20.

Procedure:

1.   1) Turn in your picture.  2) Check the completeness of WB page 17.

2.   1) Quick review.  2) Quiz #3.

3.   Teach new characters (加, 減, 乘, 除).

4.   Culture reading: textbook pages 4-6 (characters, publication, and pronunciation).

Procedure for HS 2P (9/24/10)

目標: 1) Students will summarize Lesson Eight and be able to apply their learning to simulate situation. 2) Students will be able to review through a conversation dialogue.

功課: Complete your skit as homework assignment over this weekend.

程序:

1.   1) Textbooks are in already.  Get your book cover over this weekend.  Will have your book if you show Ms. Chang your book cover.  2) Lesson Eight test next Friday (10/1).  3) Turn in your survey/questions worksheet, please.

2.   Read/Review text passages on pages 93-98.

3.   Conversation questions practice.

4.   DVD viewing: Tai Shan/Chang Jiang.

Procedure for HS 9P (9/24/10)

Objectives: Students will be able to demonstrate their mastery of Lesson one today. 

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1.   1) Textbooks are in already.  Show Ms. Chang your book cover and sign up the book on next Monday.  2) Pen Pal letter due on 10/8.

2.   Quick review—conversation dialogue.

3.   Take Lesson One test.

Procedure for MS 3P (9/24/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their mastery of unit #3 (family) today.  2) Students will be able to finish note cards for unit #4.

Homework: N/A

Procedure:

1.   1) Return oral presentation draft #1.  Go over common mistakes.  2) Quick review.  3) Quiz #3.

2.   Pass out colored strips, glue stick and index cards.  Make flash cards (colors). Collect for grades.

Procedure for MS 5P (9/24/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will demonstrate their mastery of dtnl consonants and numbers.  2) Students will be able to express an equation in Chinese.  3) Students will be able to learn important strokes and basic writing principle.

Homework: 1) Chinese character writing assignment.  2) Practice reading text passages on pages 18-20.

Procedure:

1.   1) Turn in your picture.  2) Quick review.  3) Quiz #3.

2.   Teach new characters (除, 以, 等, 於).

3.   Introduce stroke order handout.
