Procedures for 10/5/10

Procedure for HS 1P (10/5/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to read/write basic Chinese greetings terms.  2) Students will be able to discriminate zh, ch, and sh consonants.

Homework: 1) Write five characters (你, 我, 他, 是, 好).  2) Review all learned syllables.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Two Characters worksheet and one copy of zh, ch, sh, r, z, c, and s consonants handout.  2) Return Lesson Three character worksheet.  Comments on or feedback to the test?  3) No name on one character worksheet!  Missing work (Hannah, Joe, Josh, Troy).  4)  Troy makes an appointment with Ms. Chang for makeup test, please.  5) Return audacity slip.  Lab on this Friday to redo the recording!
  2. Go over zh, ch, and sh consonants.
  3. Learn new characters (你, 我, 他, 是, 好).

Procedure for HS 2P (10/5/10)

目標: 1) Students will be able to talk about the weather, the duration and characteristics of the seasons and to understand a simple weather report.  2) Students will gain fluency in reading Lesson Nine text passages.

功課: 1) Practice reading text passages on pages 105-106.  2) Know four seasons and learned weather terms.

程序:

  1. 1) Return Lesson Eight test papers.  Comments or feedback?  Go over common mistakes.  2) Missing work?  Survey, Hunting phrases, Skit?  3) Lesson Nine quiz # 1 next Monday.  4) Check completeness of homework WB page 77
  2. Reading comprehension: text page 102.
  3. Culture reading: pages 103-104.
  4. Read text passages on pages 105-106.

Procedure for HS 9P (10/5/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to communicate about time, daily routines, and to express opinions about time.  2) Students will be able to review Chinese I materials through a computer interactive game.

Homework: 1) Write 5 Chinese characters.  2) Complete My Daily Schedule worksheet.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Pen pal letter rubric/checklist.  2) Go over rubric/checklist.  3) Missing work (David—Telling time worksheet).
  2. 1) Return 5-sentence paragraphs.  2) Go over common mistakes (在, 是 + regular verbs, time is before/after pronouns and before verbs, place is before verbs).
  3. Learn new characters (漫, 畫, 跳, 舞, 該).
  4. Reading comprehension: computer interactive game (Lesson Two: Filling in the Blanks).

Procedure for MS 3P (10/5/10)

Objectives: Students will demonstrate their proficiency in presenting 10 sentences about themselves.

Homework: Complete your art project.  Due tomorrow.

Procedure:

Oral presentation.
