Procedures for 10/27/10

Procedure for HS 1P (10/27/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will brainstorm ideas about their skit.  2) Students will continue to master compound vowels.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lessons 2-4 skit checklist.  2) Missing work (Shaina, Abdussamad, Seth, Darian, Claire).
  2. Simple conversation questions.
  3. Go over compound vowels handout.
  4. Go over skit checklist.

Procedure for HS 2P (10/27/10)

目標: 1) Students will review for test tomorrow.  2) Students will take their oral exam today.  3) Students will work on their skit today.

功課: Study for chapter test tomorrow!

程序:

  1. Check completeness of WB page 89.  Go over answer key to pages 88/89.
  2. Oral exam.
  3. Go over writing section questions for Lesson Nine chapter test.
  4. Pair activity: work on skit.

Procedure for HS 9P (10/27/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire new vocabulary for various directions.  2) Students will be able to know requirements for their floor plan project.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers.  2) Quick review (up, down, front, back, left, right).  Use current seating to illustrate.  3) Take one copy of Lesson Three project checklist.  4) Missing work (Bryan—checklist with older draft, Anthony—checklist).  6) Check WB page 18 Section B.
  2. Teach new terms (裡, 外, 還, 對, 房).
  3. Go over Floor Plan checklist.
  4. Oral exam / Study checklist and lesson two text passages independently.
  5. Finish WB page 18 with complete sentences.  Collect!!

Procedure for MS 3P (10/27/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will start unit #3: family today.  2) Students will prepare to write their oral presentation draft.

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Return papers (quiz #2, Chinese number characters).  2) Quiz #3: Friday, 11/5.  3) 7th graders team day tomorrow.  No Chinese class.
  2. Final round of finger guessing game (Tara, Daniella, Anna).
  3. Learn new terms (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, sui).
  4. Explain/Go over oral presentation sentence patterns handout.
  5. Write first two sentences.
  6. DVD: A rap song for promoting Chinese language learning.

Procedure for MS 5P (10/27/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to acquire new characters in Lesson Four.  2) Students will practice cite reading hanyu pinyin today.

Homework: 1) Write new characters. 2) Review learned syllables.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review.  2) Conversation questions.  3) Dictation.
  2. Teach new characters (啊, 歡, 迎, 請, 進).
  3. Go over compound vowels handout.
  4. Pair activity: work on your skit today.  Check your skit grouping status.
