Procedures for 11/3/10

Procedure for HS 1P (11/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to apply question words to simple conversation questions.  2) Students will review front nasal sounds.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) Workbook page 83 Section B and page 84.

Procedure:

  1. Simple conversation practice (我是誰? 你是….; 她/他是誰? 她/他是…).
  2. Go over front nasal sounds handout.
  3. Teach new characters (今, 年, 幾, 歲).
  4. Class activity: Practice simple conversation: (你”今”年”幾歲).
  5. Class work: complete your skit.

Procedure for HS 2P (11/3/10)

目標: Students will be able to complete their weather project.

功課: 1) Write new characters.  2) Complete your skit/brochure/forecast w/checklist tonight.

程序:

  1. Quick review (英語/文 中文 音樂 科學 數學 化學 生物學 歷史 地理 物理 美術 家政 體育)
  2. Teach new characters (體, 育, 實, 驗, 考, 試).
  3. Read text passages on pages 1-2.
  4. Seat work: Complete your skit/brochure/forecast w/checklist.

Procedure for HS 9P (11/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to gain cultural perspective through viewing a DVD.

功課: Study for quiz on Friday.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of Lesson Three Supplementary Terms handout.  2) Go over handout.
  2. Review direction terms w/seating chart.
  3. Practice conversation questions.
  4. Read text passage on page 29.
  5. DVD: Man Made Marvels: Shanghai Makeover.

Procedure for MS 3P (11/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able complete their original project.  2) Students will be able to

Homework: Review learned terms.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Quick review (baba, mama, gege, didi, jiejie, meimei, jia, you, ge ren, he, de sheng ri, nian).  2)
  2. Pair practice: read five sentences.  Complete 2nd origami.  Collect for grades.
  3. Culture reading: Chinese zodiac animals / the legend of panda.
    1. DVD: Why Learn Chinese? / Chinese civilization and arts (silk).

Procedure for MS 5P (11/3/10)

Objectives: 1) Students will be able to work on their skit.  2) Students will review front nasal sounds.

Homework: 1) Write new characters.  2) WB pages 23 Section B and 24.

Procedure:

  1. 1) Take one copy of front nasal sounds handout.  2) Return papers (audacity, typing pinyin/characters).  3) Check book cover/book label.
  2. Conversation questions: (我是誰? 你是….; 她/他是誰? 她/他是…).
  3. Teach new characters (今, 年, 幾, 歲).  Whole class practice: simple conversation (你幾歲?).
  4. Pair activity: Go over front nasal sounds handout / work on your skit.
